VOLUNTARY WORK
Construct a website for F.R.O.G. Future Regeneration of Grangetown, a Community Action Group.
Treasurer for a self help group called One Step Forward, for people who have anxiety problems and phobias.
As a key worker with The Fordyce Forum, a local residents' group. This website is now part of A Health Portal.
While with the Forum I helped achieve a successful Estate Actions Bid to The Department of the Environment.
A major refurbishment scheme on the estate is now complete. This successful campaign involved writing a
detailed technical report, speaking and attending meetings. During the campaign I also communicated with
Members of Parliament and Council Officers, etc.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Batchelor Robinsons Metals & Chemicals Ltd., Hartlepool, for seven years.
Process Operative, responsible for the efficient operation of a re-cycling tin plant.
British Steel, Hartlepool, for six years. Process Operative.
Various duties in the final production of steel plate.
While employed at British Steel I obtained the two credits in the City & Guilds qualifications:-
Iron and Steel and Sheet and Strip.
PERSONAL PROFILE
I am able to work unsupervised as part of a team while providing a responsible and methodical
approach to any challenges provided. Being self-motivated I am also able to obtain high standards.
Having gained a good knowledge of various computer languages, computer hardware and basic electronics
I believe that I would be a useful member of your company.
I have experience of obtaining positive results in difficult situations.
